Fakoly Drum & Dance Conference June 12th - 14th
Hailing from Kankan in the heart of Guinea’s Manden region, Famoro carries a powerful musical legacy as the grandson of legendary djeli Sory Kouyate. A master balafon player, he has performed and recorded with icons such as Sekouba Bambino, Mory Kanté, and Sekouba Kandia Kouyate, and continues to share his artistry through performances and education in New York and beyond.
He will be accompanying our dance classes and bringing his magic to the Saturday evening performance—an experience not to miss.
