Business Support Fund Announcement

Minneapolis Creative Enterprises to Receive Capacity Building Services and Funding

Tuesday November 8, 2022 | Arts & Cultural Affairs

The City of Minneapolis’ Arts & Cultural Affairs is pleased to announce Business Support awards for twenty-six creative enterprises.

The City of Minneapolis’ Arts & Cultural Affairs Department received one-time Federal recovery funding from the American Rescue Plan in 2021 and partnered with Springboard for the Arts, Juxtaposition Arts and Artspace to provide Business Support Services to small creative organizations and businesses that have been economically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The purpose of Arts & Cultural Affairs American Rescue Plan funded grant programing is to assist the creative sector’s recovery and to support the recovery of the creative workforce, with an emphasis on rebuilding capacity and supporting the most impacted creative sector industries and Minneapolis communities.

These Business Support programs for creatives offer cash assistance, training, planning and other types of support and services that help to rebuild organizational  capacity to not only return to business or improve business outcomes, but to plan for the future. Selected enterprises will work with our partners to create long term plans and move forward to implementation.
