Disco Energy Infusion brings Global Beats and neighborhood joy to Northeast Minneapolis

Get ready for a vibrant celebration of music, movement, and community connection! DEI – Disco Energy Infusion- is set to bring neighbors together for a one-day, family-friendly event in the heart of Northeast Minneapolis on August 2.

Hosted in the backyard of Dutch Bar (2512 Central Ave NE), this lively gathering will feature a diverse lineup of DJs spinning global sounds—from disco and house to Afrobeat and beyond—inviting everyone to dance, connect, and enjoy the day together. Event organizer Tricky Miki shares her vision behind the event:

“I imagined Disco Energy Infusion as a way for people from all walks of life to come together—to laugh, dance, and simply enjoy each other’s company. Northeast Minneapolis is full of amazing people and cultures, and this is about celebrating that in the most joyful way possible. It’s about friendship, connection, and community.”

This free, all-ages event welcomes everyone—from longtime residents to newcomers—to join in the dancing or simply relax and soak in the sounds. Dutch Bar will also have food and drinks available throughout the day. DJ Sci Fi, DJ Ch!sme, Dory Kahalé, Dub Minus, and DJ Jazzy Jax are on board to bring the disco energy.
