“Shared Selves” at the Pride Cultural Arts Center

  • The Office of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy 1201 Harmon Place Minneapolis, MN, 55403 United States (map)

Begin the New Year by attending “Shared Selves” at the Pride Cultural Arts Center this January!

“Shared Selves” marks both an ending and a beginning: a testament to what emerges when queer artists create together and share themselves with the world. The closing showcase of the Artist-in-Residence cohort celebrates community-rooted art, creative exchange, and mutual witnessing. Throughout the residency, artists expanded their practices and built meaningful connections.

For this final exhibition, each artist created an original portrait of a fellow cohort member—reflecting their relationship and shared space—through interviews and interpretation. These portraits debut alongside each artist’s culminating works, tracing their artistic evolution and collective learning.
