Vibrant Storefronts Art Walk and History Tour with Danger Boat Productions

Join us and our partners, Danger Boat Productions for this free and open to the public end-of-summer celebration of creativity and connection in downtown Minneapolis at the inaugural Arts & Cultural Affairs Vibrant Storefronts locations. Featuring the five inaugural awardees; Blackbird Revolt, Black Business Enterprises, Flavor World, Pride Cultural Arts Center and Skntones™.

5 p.m. — 7:30 p.m. - Free guided Vibrant Storefronts tours with Danger Boat Productions (this is a first to RSVP opportunity as the tour size is limited). Explore the storied Harmon Place District as entertaining guides share captivating tales from the past and draw connections to today’s Vibrant Storefronts locations, with stops at each of the five locations along the route. -  RSVP by Wednesday, August 6 — each tour has limited capacity of 20 attendees. Tours will begin at The Butcher's Tale with visits to all five Vibrant Storefronts located in the Historical Harmon Place. Each tour will be roughly 45 minutes long.

Please note: All guided tour slots are currently full. You may check at the welcome table on the day of the event for any last-minute openings.

5 p.m. — 8 p.m. - The self-guided Harmon Place - Vibrant Storefronts Art Walk run from 5–8 p.m. Attendees do not need to RSVP and are invited to explore all five storefront locations at their own pace, with interactive activations and experiences at each stop along the way. Each location will have signage in front of their locations for way finding.  Attendees are invited to explore all five storefront locations at their own pace, with interactive activations and experiences at each stop along the way. Vibrant Storefronts Tour with community activities at Black Business Enterprises, Blackbird Revolt, Flavor World, Pride Cultural Arts Center and Skntones™.  – NO RSVP REQUIRED 

Harmon Place Art Walk inaugural cohort of Arts & Culture Vibrant Storefronts awardees, locations and activities: 

  • Black Business Enterprises – 1128 Harmon Place - Suite 200

    • Live painting, two musical performances and curated sound by The Content House 

  • Blackbird Revolt – 1128 Harmon Place - Suite 202 

    • 15% discount, button / magnet making, and Exquisite Corpse Poetry activity 

  • Flavor World – 1218 Harmon Place 

    • Live screen-printing on tote bags and patches for first 100 visitors to take home with them. 

  • Pride Cultural Arts Center – 1201 Harmon Place 

    • 2" x 2" canvases available for the community to paint, and a collage mural will be created afterwards. 

  • Skntones™ – 1227 Hennepin Ave 

    • 10% discount, DJ, live painting, sticker giveaway and artwork on view by Tchanna Pierre

The self-guided Art Walk may begin at any of the Vibrant Storefront locations. Please refer to the addresses above to choose your initial destination.
