ConFluence 2025 - October 18 + 19

ConFluence’s mission is to build creative, inclusive, and liberating spaces for BIPOC nerds where everyone can feel connected, inspired, and seen. Through both free and ticketed events, ConFluence offers diverse communities opportunities to foster relationships, learn skills, share interests, exhibit and sell work, and engage in interactive play.

The 2-day convention in Northeast Minneapolis, Minnesota celebrating art, sci-fi, futurisms, and fantasy centered on content by and for Black people, Indigenous people, and people of color. The ConFluence convention features cosplay (costuming), creative workshops, panels, an art and vendor marketplace, gaming, special industry guests, youth activities, a dance party, and an art exhibition.

Date: October 18 & 19 (Saturday tickets include a late-night dance party)
Time: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.

  • Every ConFluence attendee has access to workshops, panels, the cosplay contest, a vendor marketplace, gaming, pop-up activities, and a curated visual art exhibition.

  • Every ticket also includes a free swag bag.

  • Food will be available for purchase on site from local food trucks, and in the 1st floor Public Functionary space

CDAF Program Applications Open

The Arts & Cultural Affairs (ACA) department is looking for more artists and art enthusiasts to demonstrate their love for Minneapolis. The Cultural Arts Districts Fund (CADF) provides a series of financial awards. The goal is to build a more inclusive, vibrant, and equitable future for Minneapolis through its seven Cultural Districts.  

The two funding opportunities will:

·         Support temporary pop-up arts activations

·         Support existing and new cultural festivals, events, cultural centers, community arts centers, galleries and studios, healing arts centers, community celebrations, art markets, art-centered events, art-focused block parties, parks, plazas, streets, and arts educational events.

The city's seven Cultural Districts include:

·         38th Street 

·         Cedar Avenue South

·         Central Avenue

·         East Lake Street

·         Franklin Avenue East

·         Lowry Avenue North

·         West Broadway
